Got mice in your office closet? A pile of computer monitors collecting dust in the garage? Don’t throw it in the trash, let the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department come to your rescue.
The sheriff’s department, in partnership with Electronic Recyclers, will hold a free e-waste roundup in the parking lot of the Pitchess Detention Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 and Sunday, Feb. 24.
Simply bring your e-waste there and add it to the collection that will be sorted for recycling and safe disposal. Items that will be collected include:
- TV sets
- computer monitors
- LCD screens
- plasma screens
- laptops
- computer towers
- printers
- copiers
- faxes
- calculators
- stereo systems
- keyboards
- mice
- speakers
- cell phones
- telephones
