Electronic Recyclers International, the nation’s leading electronic waste recycler, will be conducting professional interviews this Saturday, Jan. 24, for prospective managers to oversee its locations that are opening up around the country.

The interviews will take place at the company’s headquarters, located at 2860 South East Ave. in Fresno from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. At least 10 individuals will be hired for managerial positions in the rapidly growing company. They must be willing to relocate to one of ERI’s many facilities, which stretch from the West to the East Coast. Some of those locations include Indianapolis, Washington state, Colorado, Texas, and various other spots in the United States.

Those chosen following the interviewing process will go through an eight-week ERI Management Training Program in Fresno. John Shegerian, chairman and CEO of ERI, likens it to McDonald’s University, calling it ERI University, where the trainees will learn how the culture works, how the company itself works, and why it is the largest electronic waste recycling organization in North America.

Shegerian said the three main focuses at ERI are people, technology and service.

“We can’t be made number one, we can’t grow to meet our clients’ needs without the people first,” Shegerian said. “Our growth is off the charts, so we need people.”

For some, the interviews on Saturday will be a first step toward building a solid future with a top-notch company.

“This is an opportunity for the Central Valley to come on down on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and bring their resume and bring their smile, and know they have a chance of joining the top electronic waste recycling company in the United States,” Shegerian said.
