The Second International Electronics Recycling Conference & Expo (IERCE) will be held in San Francisco, California at the Hyatt Regency Hotel (Burlingame, California) on May 26th & 27th, 2010.

The IERCE has fast become the premier networking and learning platform attended by IT asset managers, recycling executives, electronics resellers, manufacturers and other stakeholders in the fast growing multi-billion dollar e-waste management industry.

More than 700 participants including executives representing electronics manufacturers such as Flextronics, Arrow Electronics, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Extreme Networks, Hewlett Packard, Sprint and more are registered for the event. Sponsors include Recycling Today, Reverse Logistics Association, Waste Management and more. Keynote speakers include renowned author Pamela Gordon and Dave Thompson of Panasonic and MRM recycling.

The format of the conference allows for interactive and informative sessions and a rare opportunity to network while staying informed of the trends, challenges and opportunities available to all players in this industry.

“IERCE is the only forum that includes not just electronics recyclers but also electronics manufacturers and IT asset managers seeking qualified and certified recyclers to manage end of life electronic assets,” said Ismail Oyekan, president and program director of the Expo. “This year we will also be having an important two hour design for environment workshop attended by manufacturers and recyclers.”

The two-day Expo also includes more than 20 highly informative sessions presented by industry leaders, a trade-show with more than 70 exhibitors, a golf tournament and an awards ceremony honoring Sprint and Creative Recycling Systems, plus a special “Recycling Resource of the Year” Award honoring Electronic Recycling International’s 1-800-Recycling. Other leaders in the industry will also be recognized.

Last year’s event held in Los Angeles attracted more than 700 attendees from 20 nations.   Executive Registration is $299 and includes meals, conference materials, access to all sessions and much more.
