1-800-Recycling.com, an interactive nationwide company dedicated to simplifying and enhancing the consumer recycling experience, announced that its “My Recycle List” app is now available for download on select smartphones and tablets through V CAST Apps from Verizon Wireless.
My Recycle List is a user-friendly app designed to help anyone, virtually anywhere in the country participate in the recycling of items they would otherwise throw away.
My Recycle List is the first fully comprehensive “all items, all zip codes” recycling app available for the Android smartphones. 1-800-Recycling’s tool is free (data charges may apply to download) and enables the user to quickly find recycling locations nearby that accept items the user chooses from a menu. The app enables the user to easily organize locations by adding them to a personalized list so the next time they have an item to recycle they can easily return to the location or quickly find a new one.

The Android app, the 1-800-Recycling.com website and the 1-800-Recycling phone service all direct users to responsible recyclers of electronics, tires, glass, plastic, wood, mattresses, carpet, junk — basically everything that can be recycled.
The My Recycle List app provides customers with information on how to recycle no-longer-used wireless phones through the HopeLine from Verizon program, which collects wireless phones, batteries and accessories in any condition from any wireless service provider. The phones are then refurbished or recycled in an environmentally sound way.
Since 2001, more than 7 million wireless phones have been collected, generating $8 million that has been given to local agencies since 2001.
1-800-Recycling.com provides users with nationwide outreach to help users find recycling locations nearest to them (every zip code in the country is covered) for whatever it is they wish to recycle.
