Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), the nation’s leading recycler of electronic waste, announced today that it has received official letters of registration and certification from independent auditor QMI-SAI Global that all of ERI’s facilities across the country are now officially certified ISO 9001, making ERI certified for Quality Management Standards on a companywide level.

The International Organization for Standardization sets global standards for business, government and society. The ISO 9001 certification addresses quality management standards. Receiving certification in this area indicates that ERI has successfully met or exceeded international standards in the area of commitment to quality, customers, and a willingness to work towards regularly improving efficiency. It is essentially a global method of measuring that an organization regularly prescribes systematic control of activities to ensure that the needs and expectations of customers are met while demonstrating the existence of an effective quality management system that satisfies the rigors of an independent, external audit.

“It is a tremendous honor for us to have been recognized to receive ISO certification for our quality management systems and efforts on a companywide level,” said John Shegerian, ERI’s Chairman and CEO. “Since we started ERI we have been committed to doing things right – in terms of running a sustainable business, a green business, an employee friendly workplace and a company that our customers can count on. So being ISO certified in this important category is particularly meaningful to us. It is also proof and assurance to our customers that we operate every one of our facilities across the country in a manner that exudes a commitment to quality. We will exhibit our letter of companywide 9001 certification at each of our facilities and on our website with great pride.”
