Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), the nation’s leading recycler of electronic waste, announced today that attorney Tyler Browning has been named ERI’s Corporate Counsel. Browning most recently served for three years as a senior associate at Browning & Browning, LLP and as Director of Business Development and Legal Counsel for CP, Inc., a multi-million dollar holding company that administers, owns and develops branded consumer products.

“We are extremely proud to be adding Tyler Browning to our team here at ERI,” said John Shegerian, Chairman and CEO of ERI. “Not only is Tyler an excellent lawyer with keen business instincts and knowhow, he is also a great match for us here. ERI is an organization known for being in touch with our green DNA – and Tyler, a passionate advocate for environmental concerns on a personal and professional level, is very much cut from the same cloth. We are confident that his skills, knowledge and passion for sustainability will be among the many assets he brings to this working relationship.”

Long interested in recycling, clean energy, and climate change issues Browning, in his spare time, is developing an NGO that focuses on reversing the damages caused by overfishing. He has also worked on a petition to stop the slaughter of wolves in Alaska, Wyoming, and Montana and was involved in a campaign to protect tigers in the wild. He helped develop a petition for ethical treatment of animals in the American food industry and is an active member of a number of environmental non-profit organizations.

Prior to his work at Browning & Browning and CP, Inc., Browning was an Associate at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, LLP.

Licensed by the State Bar of California, Browning received his JD from the University of Miami School of Law and his LLM in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from Lewis & Clark Law School.
