Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), the nation’s leading recycler of electronic waste, will participate today in a discussion session titled “E-Waste Collection: E-Gads, There’s a Right Way?” at the Annual Residential Recycling Conference (RRC) in Dallas at the Gaylord Texan Hotel.

Katie Reilly, ERI’s Program Manager of E-Waste Legislation and head of ERI’s Washington D.C. office, will offer insights and an overview of why it is so vitally important to collect and recycle electronic waste properly. As with the other presentations at the conference, Reilly’s presentation will focus on best business practices for residential recycling – specifically regarding unwanted electronics items.

“We’re honored to have Katie represent us at this important industry event,” said ERI Chairman and CEO John Shegerian. “We applaud the organizers of this year’s RRC for placing a spotlight on the fastest growing waste stream today, electronics. With this booming sector, there are many opportunities for growth as long as the recycling is done effectively and responsibly. Katie will be sharing ways our colleagues in the waste services and recycling industries can achieve sustainability by following and exceeding certain industry standards.”

In the discussion session, designed for an audience of municipal recycling managers, public works directors, local, state and federal lawmakers, and other recycling, waste and environmental professionals, Reilly will be joined by Jori Pascarella, Business Development for Intercon Solutions.
