Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), the nation’s leading recycler of electronic waste, and its innovative and industry leading solutions for preventing electronic waste from ending up in landfills, has been added to the Ocean Exchange (oceanexchange.org) annual gallery of environmental solutions and innovations.

Advocates for innovators that benefit our planet and its natural resources, Ocean Exchange uses its influence to elevate awareness, and motivate and accelerate the adoption of solutions around the globe. As part of its mission, each year, Ocean Exchange collects examples of innovation that is in someway benefiting our planet’s oceans as well as the earth as a whole, and displays descriptions and photographs in their Gallery of Solutions.

Described in the gallery as “keeping Toxic e-waste out of landfills,” ERI’s proprietary and patented online and offline technology and standard-setting methodologies have opened the door for a dynamic new industry that not only benefits the environment, but creates hundreds of new jobs.

“It’s a genuine honor to have been included alongside other like-minded organizations and innovators in the prestigious Ocean Exchange Gallery of Solutions,” said John Shegerian, Chairman and CEO of ERI. “We are proud that our online, disruptive technologies and offline shredding and glass cleaning innovations have made the impact that they have and we look forward to continuing to provide mechanisms for positive change.”

The gallery entry also features links to several videos from ERI’s website, illustrating how ERI’s groundbreaking innovations have presented genuine solutions to the problem of responsibly disposing of unwanted electronics.
