Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), the nation’s leading recycler of electronic waste, received the prestigious “Environmental Partner of the Year” award last week at this year’s Association of Indiana Solid Waste Management Districts’ Annual Conference in Bloomington.

The award was presented to ERI for its outstanding work in supporting electronic waste collection and recycling with the solid waste management districts (SWMDs) throughout Indiana. At the ceremony, ERI was praised for its leadership role in the e-waste recycling world and the positive environmental impact the organization has made in the state of Indiana and beyond.

ERI regularly works with a multitude of the SWMDs to provide the most responsible electronics recycling services available. ERI also maintains a state-of-the-art electronic waste recycling facility in Plainfield, Indiana, that is home to its e-waste shredding technology and proprietary glass cleaning technology.

“Last year, ERI was proud to be asked to celebrate the creation of 125 new green jobs at our Plainfield, Indiana facility and recognize the important role the SWMDs serve in the collection and recycling of electronics throughout Indiana,” said John Shegerian, Chairman and CEO of ERI. “Fast forward one year to the present and here we are, honored and humbled to be named ‘Partner of the Year.’ To receive an award like this is very inspiring, and we look forward to further strengthening our relationships with the SWMDs throughout Indiana and continuing our expansion in the great Hoosier state.”
